When our clients, Abby and Chris, approached us with their vision of a cozy fall wedding at Valhalla Tahoe, we were thrilled to bring their dream to life. Embracing Nature's Beauty in Lake Tahoe

Nestled amidst the breathtaking natural beauty of Lake Tahoe, Valhalla provided the perfect setting for Abby and Chris's special day. As destination wedding planners, we understood the allure of Valhalla's outdoor lawn area, offering a stunning view of the surrounding forest. Against the backdrop of vibrant autumn foliage, we carefully designed an outdoor ceremony that harmonized with the natural surroundings, creating an unforgettable experience for all.

The ceremony took place on the lush green lawn, framed by towering trees and the shimmering waters of Lake Tahoe in the distance. Twine Flower Co. adorned a beautiful arch with fresh flowers and greenery served as the focal point, symbolizing the unity of Abby and Chris's love. The aisle entrance was framed with arrangements of lush greenery, dark ferns, white anemone, and white ranunculus guiding the couple toward their happily ever after.

Cozy Vibes in an Intimate Mountain Setting

Fall evokes a sense of warmth and intimacy, and Abby and Chris wanted to capture this cozy ambiance for their wedding day. After the outdoor ceremony, guests were invited into Valhalla's main hall, where the crackling fireplace radiated a comforting glow. The flickering flames created an inviting atmosphere, enhancing the sense of togetherness and providing a perfect backdrop for the dinner and celebration that followed.

The main hall at Valhalla featured high ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and large windows that allowed natural light to flood the space. To enhance the cozy atmosphere, we adorned the fireplace mantle with various candles, creating a warm and romantic glow. Soft, ambient lighting, provided by strategically placed candles, added an ethereal touch to the room.

A Monochrome Elegance

For the dinner reception, we curated a monochrome color scheme that added a touch of sophistication to the overall rustic aesthetic. The tables were dressed with black tablecloths, creating a dramatic backdrop for the white napkins and black plates. Lush greenery adorned the tables, intermingled with white flowers, accentuating the natural beauty of the surroundings. The soft candlelight provided a warm and intimate glow, casting a romantic spell over the entire room.

Each round table featured an elegant centerpiece composed of a mix of white anemones, ranunculus, and dahlias. The floral arrangements were placed in sleek white vases, perfectly complementing the monochrome theme. Delicate strands of ivy and ferns cascaded from the centerpieces, adding a touch of whimsy and natural beauty. The Sweetheart table was adorned with a light and airy fern garland, soft tea lights in glass ribbed candle holders, and a few bud vases that tied into the guest table floral arrangements. In the middle of Valhalla Tahoe's grand hall, a rectangular table was placed for Abby and Chris's wedding party to be seated at during dinner. This table was adorned with glass mix-match bud vases to add some texture and glam to the table design.

A Unique Delight: The Black Cake

Incorporating unexpected elements into a wedding can truly make it memorable. Abby, with an affinity for the unconventional, had a unique request for her wedding cake—a black cake. Intrigued by her vision, we embarked on a mission to find the perfect baker who could bring this extraordinary creation to life. We landed on Sugar Pine Bakery in South Lake Tahoe to make our unique request.

The cake was a mesmerizing creation, covered in a flawless black buttercream that exuded sophistication and elegance. Its sleek exterior was adorned with delicate white flowers that match the rest of the floral décor, meticulously placed to create an exquisite contrast against the dark backdrop. The black wedding cake was set against a white curtain adorned with twinkle lights and a LED sign with the couple's last name displayed to create a beautiful backdrop for the cake.

An Unforgettable Dance Party

No wedding celebration is complete without music and dancing, and Abby and Chris's fall wedding at Valhalla in Lake Tahoe was no exception. To ensure an unforgettable dance party, we enlisted the expertise of a fantastic DJ, Tru Blu Productions, who knew exactly how to create an electric atmosphere on the dance floor.

With Abby and Chris's music preferences in mind, the DJ carefully selected a diverse mix of songs that catered to different tastes and generations. From classic hits that got everyone grooving to early 2000s pop-punk like Blink-182 Frist Date had everyone singing along, the playlist was a perfect blend of nostalgia and modernity.
